BUSY BUSY BUSY!!!

I have been super busy the last few weeks and am doing my best to not get burnt out.
First of all... my baby got married!!! It's bittersweet to have such a good friend get married- I am of course stoked that Mariya and Yura found each other and created a family, but I am definitely gonna miss girl nights and cuddling. Mariya's wedding was so great and it was such an honor to be part of it. Mariya was the most beautiful bride I ever did see. It was super hot that day but we got through it and headed to the beach the next day. We got to Cannon Beach at around 5pm and then went to Ecola State Park to explore. We got down to the beach and played in the tide pools and stuck our fingers into strange sea creatures. After which we decided to climb up a huge, slippery hill and hike our way back. We got lost because someone said "this way seams reasonable!" haha. After making it out, we found a quaint little cafe for dinner, and finished the night off with bonfire on the beach. It was lovely.

And that's not the end!
Last Wednesday, my baby cousin Nina got married!!!
I did the centerpieces for her tables and that kept me very busy throughout the week. She made such a stunning bride also!

So major congratulations to all my babies getting married!

This week I am staying busy also because I have a mock interview with the president of NWHF- about which I was warned that it would be the most difficult interview of my life. YIKES! Also, there is a conference that is going to be occurring soon between NWHF and a partnering organization from Minnesota- for which I was asked to be the coordinator and take care of all of the logistics. That conference will be my last official day as an intern at NWHF, I have enjoyed this experience immensely.
In the meantime, I am also applying for jobs, preparing for a friend's bridal shower, planning for retreat, filming a infomercial video for retreat, participating in a very active book club and still trying to breathe. So many exciting things happening, gotta stay afloat. Peace out peeps.

Well this is awkward...

Hey guys! Well since my name has already been announced in the previous blog post I guess I need no introduction ;) My name is Tanya and I consider myself to be a good friend of Vicky's. We met a few years back through my sister because she kept talking about a funny, nice girl named Vicky. To see for myself what all this rave was about I met her. But you know what's funny? I cannot remember the day we really talked or when we became such good friends. It just happened. Just like that. If I had to describe Vicky in one word, one of the first words that pops into my head is genuine . She is that person you can talk to with whatever is on your mind, someone you can turn to when you have questions, and definitely someone who will not judge but be there to guide you and offer help. And I am so thankful for that. Looking back, I can see that our friendship developed rather spontaneously (or maybe I just have bad memory lol). But I do see now that God orchestrated this friendship...
Hey guys, please go read the following article about the unconstitutional mandates of ObamaCare and the company Hobby Lobby who refuses to comply with the laws because they are a violation of Christian beliefs. I feel very soon it will be very difficult for Christians to be owners of businesses if things continue to proceed as they are now. Praise God for the Green family  who stand up for His truth and make it known that  they will not sin against the Almighty even if it will cost them their business. It is important for us to know what the government requires of us and even most important to know what God requires of us. It is our responsibility to stand up against that which violates our obedience to God. Please pray for the Green family as they go through this difficult time, that they may remain faithful to the Lord even if it costs them everything. Also pray for our government so that the people making the decisions may be wise men who's views correspond...

Cool Things

Was at the Land Bridge with some friends at night when we heard what sounded like deep gunshots, later to realize that the cannon at the Fort was being fired. We noticed candlelight there also so our curious minds just dragged us there. We discovered Campfire and Candlelight at the Fort, and I must say that I was completely blown away. Everyone was dressed up as people from different wars in history and had stations set up to display how certain things would happen back in the day. We got to see a nurses station, and were impressed by the soldiers quarters. I was offered to have my wisdom teeth removed by some scary contraption and the postman was distressed to find that we came without any "men folk" lol. I felt like I was in a movie and was blown away by the attention to detail. Old typewriters, pipes, letters, maps, torn tents, and everything was lit by lanterns. Looking forward to next year. I live in such a cool place with such interesting history.  On the other ha...
