Well this is awkward...

Hey guys!
Well since my name has already been announced in the previous blog post I guess I need no introduction ;)
My name is Tanya and I consider myself to be a good friend of Vicky's. We met a few years back through my sister because she kept talking about a funny, nice girl named Vicky. To see for myself what all this rave was about I met her. But you know what's funny? I cannot remember the day we really talked or when we became such good friends. It just happened. Just like that.
If I had to describe Vicky in one word, one of the first words that pops into my head is genuine. She is that person you can talk to with whatever is on your mind, someone you can turn to when you have questions, and definitely someone who will not judge but be there to guide you and offer help. And I am so thankful for that. Looking back, I can see that our friendship developed rather spontaneously (or maybe I just have bad memory lol). But I do see now that God orchestrated this friendship; and as time goes by it just gets better. And I am thankful for that. Thankful for the crazy times, the uncontrollable laughs, and the weird moments. These are the types of friendships I dreamed about in my younger years. God really does answer prayers.
Here is a little poem I dedicate to Vicky and anyone else reading this. Do know that I did not write this but instead just found it on Google. It's called, "A Friend in Need is a Friend Indeed:
Friends are far, friends are near,
Friends will be there to lend an ear,
They listen, laugh, and care,
But most of all, they're always there,
Through thick and thin, up and down,
Your true friends are always around,
For treats, hugs and real big smiles,
They'll travel to you from several miles,
They'll always be there to hold you tight,
Anytime, no matter if it's day or night,
You really know when your friends are sincere,
When they always show up to lend their ear.

P.S. sorry for the cheesy blog post ;)
P.P.S. sorry if it's too long

More Perfect Days Please

I just loved today. This week I got quite sick and was couped up in my house for the last 3 days, only leaving my house to buy myself medicine, soup and tissues. I like to rest, but not that much. You can imagine how refreshing it was to get out of the house today and just go do some of my favorite things around Vancouver. Firstly, Tanya and I hit up Albina Press, then headed to Vintage Books where I always buy books based on their covers. Then we went on a walk at the waterfront, grabbed some dinner at Warehouse 23 and watched the sunset at Columbia. It's simple- but its enough to make me happy.

Endless Capacity

Today was the last day of the quarter and all I have left is 3 finals to complete next week. As I was driving home from PSU today, I was crossing the I 405 bridge and couldn't help but marvel at how much knowledge had to be applied in order to make something like that stand. I was already reflecting on everything I had learned this quarter and am just in awe at how our minds work. They have endless capacity- you can't learn too much, its impossible to fill your mind to the brink to where it's impossible to expand. It's impossible to even fathom all of the things that exist. When I realize this it makes me want to know everything- to know how every little detail in the Universe plays its part: even more I just want to imagine what God was thinking when He created all of these detailed mechanisms. How did He come up with all of these things?? This mentality points to the Creator of everything because I realize that anything I know is of no comparison to what God doe...

You missed me, I'm flattered

Hello Peasants, multiples of yous have requested an updated blog post- like whyyyyyy tho? Please note the following reasons for which I have stopped blogging: IG stories now keeps all of my highlighted content from my travels I keep a journal for the deep stuff I have become more introverted and am very intentional about spending purposeful time with people that matter to me- basically all of the important people already know what's going on in my life. If you read my blog... well then, lets rethink our friendship But I'll bite, I'll provide a quick update of a few places I have traveled to and a few things I have learned about myself/God/the world/existence/life/people etc., since my last post.  Alrighty, lets dive in - I'll try to keep it brief (skip to the end to go straight to my life learnings.) March 2019- Victoria B.C. Not going to go into detail but we ate a lot of good food and saw a lot of pretty things. I made friends with a Chocolatier a...
